The required hours of work vary each day depending on the amount of fruit which needs to be picked. Picking will start at 6am and usually finishes around 2-4pm on average. We will usually stop picking when it is raining but will pick in all other weather conditions. We can pick all or any days of the week.

The rate of pay is based on a piecework agreement, rather than an hourly payment. As at 1 December 2020 the current rate of pay is $7 per lug of cherries plus a $1 incentive bonus. A lug can hold on average 7-8 kilos of cherries. As an incentive we also offer an extra $1 per lug you have picked as a bonus which is paid at the end of the season if you stay for the entire season. On average good experienced pickers can pick anywhere from 20-30 lugs a day in peak season. Pay day is every week processed each Monday.
